Kratom Tolerance: Guidelines To Control It And When You Should Take A Break

Is it possible to build a kratom tolerance? Tolerance is always a concern for kratom users, both new users and vets.

It doesn’t matter what it is, alcohol, pain pills, vaping, heroin, snuff, whatever, if you do it long enough, your body will begin building a tolerance to what you’re taking.

Can you build a tolerance to kratom? That depends, let’s discuss it.

WILL I BUILD A TOLERANCE TO KRATOM?

For users that take kratom on a daily basis, you may be finding your kratom dose is not effective as it once was. You may even think the “quality” of the strain you’re buying is less potent. While that can certainly happen, it could also be your tolerance to kratom.

As your body gets used to the kratom you’re taking, it will likely not be as effective as it once was.

You may be noticing 2-3 grams of kratom doesn’t work like it used too, so now you start taking 3-5 grams.

While some people may take kratom regularly and still feel the effects the same, others find that their old dose just doesn’t have the kick it once had.

Is your kratom tolerance growing or is it something else?

HOW DO YOU BECOME TO LERANT TO KRATOM

All of us have a favorite kratom strain. You know what I’m talking about.

While there’s nothing wrong with that, if you’re consistently taking the same kratom powder over and over again, you can build a tolerance to it.

If you’re taking kratom multiple times a day, most of you will build a tolerance. You’ll find yourself needing more kratom to feel the way you use to feel.

Now, everyone is different.

I have some friends that have been using kratom for years, they can turn it on and turn it off and not miss a beat. Even so, it doesn’t mean you can do the same.

Since everyone is different, everyone is going to experience tolerance to kratom differently.

HOW TO CONTROL YOUR KRATOM TOLERANCE

The good news, you do have a few options.

Since everyone is different, one or more of these methods may help you reduce your kratom tolerance.

(1) MIX UP YOUR KRATOM POWDERS

One of the best ways I’ve found to control your tolerance is by mixing up your kratom powders.

Don’t rely on just one kratom powder, start introducing new kratom powders into your dosing regimen.

Now, you do have to be careful which kratom strains you’re mixing, so make sure you know what those powders may do for you ahead of time.

Some users recommend sticking within your vein color: whether that’s green strains, white strains or red strains.

For others, including myself, I work the whole spectrum in my weekly regime. I use a combination of the red vein, green vein, and white vein. The reason I do it is for tolerance. If I only took my favorite white Maeng Da kratom, I’d be up to a high dose by now. Doing this has allowed me to stay on a consistent dose for several years now.

(2) TRY DIFFERENT DOSING TIMES/AMOUNTS

Everyone’s schedule is different. Everyone reacts differently at different times.

With that being said, working your kratom dose around to different times may just help with your tolerance.

I have a close friend who was worried about his tolerance, so he began trying different dosages at different times of the day.

What he found was that his kratom high was more potent in the mornings. Due to this, he changed his working schedule around and he’s been able to stay on a consistent dose every since.

If you’re taking (3) 4 gram doses per day, you could also try taking (2) 6 gram doses.

You won’t know until you try, it worked for my friend, and it may work for you.

(3) POTENTIATE YOUR KRATOM

Another thing kratom users do is potentiate their kratom.

There’s a few ways to make your kratom more potent.

  • Tumeric
  • Grapefruit
  • Akuamma Seed
  • Magnesium
  • Cat’s Claw
  • Caffeine
  • Coffee

Again, these are things you can experiment with to see if it helps.

(4) SPACE OUT YOUR KRATOM DOSES

Another way to lower your kratom tolerance is by taking less kratom.

If you’ve been taking kratom daily for some time, start trying to go a day without it.

You can also space out your doses.

For example, if you’re taking 6 grams of kratom a day, you could try taking (3) 2 gram doses during a 24 hour period. With this scenario, you can space your kratom out every 8 hours.

While this may not be the answer you’re looking for, it might help lower your tolerance of kratom.

(5) BUYING HIGHER QUALITY KRATOM

Where you buy kratom matters.

If the quality of the kratom you’ve been taking is low, higher quality kratom may give you a better kratom high.

The reason Kratom Exchange is one of the top kratom vendors is that our kratom is high quality, fresh and consistent.

If you’ve never bought kratom from us, I highly recommend you give it a try.

You may not have a tolerance problem, it may be a “quality” problem and that’s something we can help with.

If your kratom high doesn’t last long, it may be due to the quality. Yes, it can be the kratom powder itself too. Nonetheless, higher-quality kratom is going to be the solution for both.

(6) TAKE A BREAK

If you feel that your tolerance to kratom is building, try taking a break from it for a day or two.

Nobody knows your body but you. You have to be honest with yourself, is your kratom tolerance too high? How many grams of kratom a day are you taking now?

I know it can be tough, but making this a part of your regular routine will lower your kratom tolerance.

You can also take less kratom.

If you’re taking 4-6 grams a day, try taking 2-4 grams every other day.

There’s many ways you can take less kratom, still get relief but also lower your tolerance.

IN CLOSING

You have to be mindful of building a tolerance to kratom.

I’ve been able to control my dose for years and I’ve never had a tolerance problem, but only because I’ve used the methods above.

Start including these in your regimen and see how it goes.
